This is the greatest news we could ever read from the scriptures because it encompasses the past, the present and the future. Mankind has no need to wonder if there is a saviour because the scripture foretold is coming and described his role in the world. He will be called 'Wonderful', which holds high esteem. Then He is called Counsellor. When we need someone to talk to that will listen and give the answer and comfort needed without hesitation and without any qualms. The might God verifies that he is of God, sent down just for us, for me to have the chance to live forever in eternity. He is the everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace. The chastisement of our peace is upon Him. This lets me know that there is no doubt about what he is able to do. |
